In Hinduism, the Bel Patra plant is considered a promising and divine tree specially offered to Lord Shiva. Bilva/Bel Botanically known as Aegle marmelos from Rutaceae family. Common name are Bel patra, Bel fruit, Bela, Bil, Maredu, golden apple tree, stone apple tree. It is a small to medium size deciduous tree. The plant contains a significant amount of sattva components that absorb and emit satvik frequencies to assist you in disabling the raja-tama particles in the atmosphere. The Shiva Purana provides a beautiful explanation of the significance of worshipping the Bel Patra Tree or its leaves. Not only humans, but gods also adored the Bel Patra tree. According to Puranas, Lord Shiva bestows all wishes on anyone who devotedly presents a trifoliate bel Patra to the Shivlinga.  

The mala has been made up from Bilva tree wood and can be used in japas of Lord Shiva and Lord Bhairava.
