Eight Siddhis of Hanuman ji ( अष्ट सिद्धि )

Siddhis are power over nature. Nature has some laws and when you get the powers to bend the nature's laws , these are called Siddhis or special Supernatural Powers. It is said in the scriptures that Mata Sita blessed Lord Hanuman with eight siddhis.

Lord Hanuman is known to  have Eight Siddhis , they are as following :-

1. Animā ( अणिमा ) - Ability to reduce one's size
2. Mahima ( महिमा ) - Ability to Become infinitely large
3. Garima ( गरिमा ) - Ability to Become infinitely heavy
4. Laghima ( लघिमा ) - Ability to Become lighter than the lightest
5. Prāpti ( प्राप्ति ) - Ability to obtain anything
6. Prākāmya ( प्राकाम्य ) - Ability to acquire anything
7. Işitva ( ईशित्व ) - Superiority
8. Vaśitva ( वशित्व ) - Power to subjugate all 

In hanuman chalisa it is said that lord hanuman not only possess ashta siddhi but can also bestow ashta sddhi to his devotees.
